Crikey! It’s A Cranberry-Apple Dump Cake Cobbler!

One of my favorite desserts that I could always count on at a potluck was dump cakes.  They are classic, simple recipes that are completely comfort food.

Apple Cranberry Dump Cake Cobbler is another marvelous dump cake recipe I’m sure you’ll love! Pie filling made with apples and cranberries, coconut, walnuts, butter recipe cake mix and butter is about all you need to make this luscious dessert. I had this cobbler ready for the oven in 5 minutes! And the taste? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! If you enjoy apples and cranberries you will love this combination of fruit and nuts. I made a large batch of this recipe for some friends who were recently bereaved and then a small dish for us to sample. Yes, our sample got gobbled up really quickly.

Yes, absolutely yes.  This dish screams Christmas, from the colors to the taste.  It’s oh so wonderful.

 

Ingredients

4 cans Lucky Leaf apple cranberry pie filling
1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe yellow cake mix
2 sticks unsalted Land O’ Lakes butter melted
1 cup Baker’s coconut
1/2 cup Diamond finely chopped walnuts

Instructions

Spoon pie filling into a greased 9×13” glass baking dish.
Sprinkle with finely diced walnuts, then the coconut.
Spread dry cake mix over top (be sure to get crush any lumps in the cake mix).
Pour melted butter over top.
Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes to an hour or until fruit bubbles up over the top of the topping around the edges.
