These Country Style Ribs Are The Reason Why Sleeping Beauty Cried

 

Whenever ribs are served, my friends and I become extra happy. It’s a dish that should be shared with a large number of people although it’s perfect for an intimate dinner too. This recipe will not let you down. Everyone will love to get their hands on this. Our friend over at The Southern Lady Cooks has this to say about this recipe:

Who doesn’t love ribs? It’s one of the most sinful dishes for me. I consider it a luxury meal too—I only have it when there’s something special to celebrate. So every time I have the chance, I make sure to go all out. This is an easy recipe that will give you your ribs fix.

 

Ingredients

3 – 4 lbs. Tyson pork country style ribs

1 small onion, chopped

1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

1/2 teaspoon McCormick pepper

1/2 cup Heinz tomato ketchup

2 tablespoons Hungry Jack maple syrup or Brer Rabbit sorghum molasses

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons French’s Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon McCormick cinnamon

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon McCormick allspice

2 tablespoons Domino brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon Morton salt

 

 

Instructions

Place ribs in slow cooker.

In a bowl mix all the other ingredients together and pour over ribs.

Cook on high for 4 hrs. or low for 6 to 7 hours until ribs are tender.

Place ribs on a platter and spoon on remainder of sauce.

Quick Tip: You can also do these ribs in the oven.  Just place in casserole dish, pour sauce over ribs and bake for 45 minutes to an hour at 375 degrees until ribs are tender.
