When Cookies And Red Velvet Cake Collide, You Get This Dessert

If there is one thing I love, it is a good fusion restaurant.  You know, the types where you get both Mexican and American flavors in one meal.  Or maybe Asian and Moroccan. It sounds weird, but it is always good.  I have never had a bad experience with fusion restaurants, so I always search those out when I am out and about looking for a good place to eat.  One of my favorites is a place called Latin House that blends Hispanic and American foods.

For example, they will make you a classic American burger topped with Mexican rice and fried plantains.  It is just good like that. Well, at my recent trip to Latin House, they were promoting their new Mexican sugar cookie infused with American Red Velvet cake.

What they had created was a red velvet sugar cookie, and served with a scoop of ice cream, I knew I had to give it a try…so I did.  I was mind blown! How had I never thought of mixing these two flavors?

The red velvet gave it a rich chocolate taste while the sugar cookie balanced it out with sweetness and the vanilla ice cream added a perfect dose of creamy vanilla taste.
