You Can’t Say No To These Sticky, Chocolatey, Nutty Buns!

It’s been a stressful week. I barely slept yet so I always needed that extra kick in the morning. Because of my coffee addiction, coffee rarely works for me anymore. The only thing that could give me my morning energy to deal with the day, is sugar. Now I am not a fan of pure sugar concoctions like hard candies, sugar dusted pastries, or glazed donuts.

I usually get my sugar fix from chocolates. Anything that’s chocolate covered or chocolate cream-filled is enough to kick start my day the right way. I have these favorite chocolate buns from a bakery a couple of blocks away.

It’s a pastry filled with chocolate bits that has a glazed top sprinkled with nuts. When I barely have time in the morning to even fix myself a bowl of cereal, I drive by the bakery and pick a dozen of those pastries.

I stuck them in a container and place them in the fridge. Reheating them in the microwave works just well. With the biggest coffee-to-go cup from my favorite coffee place, I’m now ready to start the day!

If you can make those at home, then it’s better. I found this recipe will give you the best idea for a chocolate bun dessert that you can eat anytime, anywhere.

Quick Tip:  If you want something less sweet, you can use dark chocolate kisses.
