In fry pan heat together

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

Add:

1 large sweet onion or walla walla onion sliced into thin rings.

Continue to saute another 10 minutes on low heat.

if onions look too dry add 1 tsp water

The third secret is fresh ground sirloin.
Make golf ball size meatballs and flatten to a small hamburger patty. Do not work the meat too much as this will cause a tough patty.

BBQ patties using your favorite BBQ sauce. You can also top with your favorite cheese at this point.

Slice buns open and lightly toast in oven just as patties are ready to come off the grill. Place the patties onto the toasted bottoms and top with caramelized onions and then the top of the bun.

Arrange on a serving tray and serve as an app along with a tray of condiments of your choice.
