Better Than Stove Top Crock Pot Stuffing

Every Thanksgiving, we travel about three hours North to go and spend the holiday with my family. It’s a trip with two little kids in the backseat, but as long as they have something to keep them occupied, it isn’t too bad. My mom and dad always serve a huge, traditional spread of food. That’s what helps keep me sane on the ride there I think. My parents still live in the same house that we grew up in. It’s cozy, but it’s small. They have one tiny oven to make the whole meal in. That means they have to get up super early in the morning just to make sure they have enough time to get everything done.

I feel bad that they work so hard for us at their age, but they claim to love it. One day, when I was browsing recipes, I came across this crock pot recipe for stuffing on Group Recipes. I instantly shared it with my mom. “Oh, what a great idea!” she said. When we showed up, I was pleased to see the stuffing in the slow cooker.

She whispered to me while we were eating that she got to sleep in longer than usual knowing the stuffing was going to be so easy. What a great thing to be thankful for!

Quick Tip: Keep a close eye on the liquid. You may have to add more if the stuffing gets to crunchy.
