Authentic Amish Casserole: Yum-A-Setta

The Amish community has a wealth of recipes that are easy to make and taste absolutely amazing. Yum-A-Setta is one of them.

As a little girl growing up in a Mennonite church I was exposed to plenty of potluck suppers. It seemed like every other Sunday was a potluck Sunday. It’s funny how packed the church always was when folks knew that there would be food haha! Oh, well, at least they came, right? Anyway, Mennonite recipes are quite similar to Amish recipes and Yum-A-Setta is one of those closely related casserole recipes.

I found this delicious casserole recipe on The BZ House That Love Built blog. When I saw the picture I instantly got hungry! Hamburger and cheese and noodles? Oh, boy! This casserole brings back plenty of memories for me.

I bet your curiosity is piqued about this recipe, yes? Flip on over to the next page for the yummy details!

Wow, this recipe is so like one my mom made when I was a kid and I’m 66 now! She called it sham-a-setta. I don’t remember the recipe exactly, but all the flavors were the same. I’m going to make this dish for dinner tonight. Thanks for sharing!
