Aunt Ida’s Amish Bakery Custard Pie – It’s a REAL Treat!

Is there really anything better than eating homemade desserts? Whenever I am asked to bring a dish to pass I almost always make a dessert of some sort. I love making cakes, cookies, pies, and bars. What are some of your favorite treats to make and share? Please let me know in the comments and share your recipe with us. I may even feature you on our site! It’s so much fun swapping recipes with fellow foodies.

Anyway, I grew up in a Mennonite household and if you know anything about the Mennonite culture you will know that we tend to be very good cooks. Whenever there would be a potluck at church my mom would make something amazing like a tasty casserole or a yummy dessert.

One lady, her name was Ida, would bring this lovely custard pie that he mother used to make. Ida grew up in an Amish family and her and her husband later joined our church. The custard bakery pie that Miss Ida would bring to the potluck dinner was nothing less than fantastic. You’re going to love this recipe!
