Anj is very secretive when it comes to her family recipes. She doesn’t want to disclose even the smallest secret ingredient that makes the food she prepares taste extraordinarily good. She owns a small restaurant downtown. It isn’t as popular as the mainstream ones, but it has its own patrons because she serves mostly homemade food.
Some of those patrons are us, her friends, who usually go there and eat there whenever we’re downtown. The only family recipe that we probably know though was her creamy burrito casserole recipe. She didn’t mean to disclose it to us, but there was an incident that day that forced her to ask help from us.
She only has three staff members; two of them serving as waiters and one of them was assisting her in the kitchen. The assistant had the flu that day and she didn’t have anyone to help her so she had no choice but to ask for us.
Since it was the creamy burrito casserole that’s most popular, we found ourselves making a lot of it. At the end of the day, we probably knew even the count of the ground beef on it. Kidding! Since I couldn’t disclose her recipe, I found a similar one that tastes just as good. And this one is a whole lot easier to make too! Enjoy!
