I am a mega lover of dips, especially ones with a sour cream base. Sour cream gives the dip a zip! If you enjoy this sort of dip, too then consider making this yummy garlic onion spread. it’s perfect for veggies and potato chips. I have even seen people smear it on baked potatoes. It’s full of flavor and delicious seasonings that will make your mouth water. And, it is VERY easy to make. My husband and kiddos love it.
The following recipe says to chop your veggies in a food processor but if you don’t have one you can easily use a knife and get the same results. Just make sure to chop them as finely as you can.
Ingredients
1 large onion
5 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil
1 16 ounce container Daisy sour cream
Juice of 1 lemon
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon McCormick paprika
Morton Salt
Instructions
Using a food processor, finely chop the onion and garlic.
In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic-onion mixture and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Pulse the mixture in the food processor with the sour cream, lemon juice, hot sauce, paprika and salt to taste. Refrigerate until serving.
