I love my kids, more than life itself, I really do. But there are times, and I’m sure you’ve had them too, that they make me want to rip my hair out. I think it may be my fault, because I have always told them that I know everything. So, when they get messages at school about different events and fundraisers, I guess they assume that I already know without them telling me. It will be the day before they need to take something in, and usually when we are tucking them in bed, when one or more of them will say, I need a treat for tomorrow….WHAT?!?!
It’s nine o’clock at night. I’m getting ready to go to bed! Unfortunately, we live in a small town that doesn’t have a grocery store. I could run to the fuel station and buy everyone a candy bar I guess, but that might get a little costly. That’s why I always keep the ingredients for these cookies from Sugar Spun Run on hand.
They are a simple cookie with a big flavor that everyone really loves. So, even if I have to stay up longer than I had intended, I know that my kids will deliver what they are supposed to….even if they forgot to relay the message!
