My Grandma was a master in the baking department. She would struggle making a box of macaroni and cheese, but when it came to making any kind of dessert, even if she had never made it before, she did it perfect each and every time.
I remember the first time she made this pudding pie. My cousins and I were all over there playing for the weekend. We had already gone through a few dozen cookies, some brownies, and an apple pie when she brought this out.
I didn’t think I could take any more sweetness but this looked so good I had to give it a try. My Grams cut this into six equal pieces, just enough for each of us, and we devoured every bite.
I had to go back and check the pie tin again just to make sure there wasn’t any left. When I found this recipe on Mom & Wife, I couldn’t wait to make it for my kids.
They gobbled it down just as fast as I remember doing it so many years ago. This is a common dessert made at my house these days, and I hope my kids make it for their kids some day too!
