We had just bought our new house and everyone wanted to come and see it. Of course we had a hundred things to do before we would be ready for guests. I called my mom in a panic asking her I could do to feed all these people when I barely had enough time to get dressed. In her true mom fashion, she told me not to worry about it, and she would take care of everything.
The day of the party I set out a few appetizers and prayed that my mom would pull through with something amazing. When she walked in with a huge, and I mean huge pot of Sloppy Joes, I felt a rush of relief wash all over me. As our friends and family piled in to see our biggest purchase, they could smell the amazing sandwiches.
Everyone had one, two, or three of them before leaving for the night. (I think my father-in-law had about five, but that’s just between us.) When I asked her for the recipe, she gave me this one from Recipe Lion. Now I make it for my family all the time. It’s one that never disappoints!
