I love cakes and that is the truth. Sometimes my sweet tooth craves something a little on the softer side of the sweet category. In that case, my go-to cake is a nice fluffy angel food cake. Everything about this cake is fabulous. The taste is just perfect. The sweetness is just right. The texture is spongy and fun to eat. Angel food cake practically melts in your mouth!
The thing that I love most about angel food cake is that you can pretty much dress it with anything! What’s your favorite fruit? Apricot, blueberry, strawberry, pineapple, caramel, chocolate, raspberry and the list goes on!
This is such a simple cake that is so versatile because you can make it with anything you want! That is a winner in my house.
When I have some friends comes over I like to have an angel food cake bar. Cut the cake up into individual pieces and have a bunch of different options for toppings. This has always been a hit. Just as tasty as an ice cream bar, minus the brain freeze!
