Pennsylvania Dutch Ham Loaf – A Lancaster County Tradition

Pennsylvania Dutch Country food is some of the best eats I’ve ever had.

Upon moving to PA from Michigan about 3.5 years ago I had a pretty rough transition. Nothing was the same and everything was different. However, things started to brighten for me a bit once I began to explore and embrace the Amish culture. These gentle folks sure do know how to cheer a girl up and they do it with food LOL. One of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten from the Amish is traditional ham loaf.

Made with a ton of brown sugar and garnished with pineapple it is such a sweet, meaty treat! I had never tasted anything quite like ham loaf before and I am so glad that I got a chance to. You’re going to love this recipe.
