Kiss Your Slow-Cooked French Toast With A Touch Of Vanilla

I always try to make birthdays for my kids as special as possible. From the moment they wake up, until the second they lay their head down, their birthday is their day. Whatever they want to do, wherever they want to go, and whatever they want to eat is their decision…(within reason and budget.) My son’s favorite meal for breakfast has always been french toast.

He can usually eat about about half a loaf of bread on his own. When I found this recipe for french vanilla slow cooked french toast a week before his birthday on Recipe Lion, I knew it was meant to be.

Not only did I get to cook up a large amount of his favorite dish, I actually got to sit down and enjoy eating it with him rather than standing at the stove pumping them out piece by piece. It was the perfect start to what turned into an unforgettable day…for both of us.
