Over Thanksgiving vacation, one of the many stops that we had to make included my boyfriend’s aunt’s house. Not that I minded at all. We always have a great meal, good company, and a whole lot of fun. While we were there, we started talking about what the Christmas season was going to bring. We were going to go back to his Aunt’s house for another meal, presents, and holiday cheer. Part of every meal at their house includes everyone bring a dish to pass that matches up with the theme we have all decided on.
For that Christmas, we decided that we were going to do a Mexican feast. My boyfriend’s sister volunteered to make Spanish rice and everyone was so excited. I had never had it before so I wasn’t sure what the big deal was.
That was until I got to try it out for myself. Then I realized what all the fuss was about. It was just like this recipe from Food.com and it was amazing.
The next meal we had was a soup dinner, and everyone told her to make it again..even though it didn’t fit the theme, there were no arguments.
