If you’re looking for a mindblowing dessert that will really make everyone beg for seconds, this peanut butter Texas sheet cake is the recipe for you! That wonderful texture and taste of a moist cake smothered in smooth, creamy peanut butter frosting… Doesn’t just a thought of it make your mouth water? You’ll probably want to bake this in secret, because every single person around you is going to be vying for the lucky winner spot of the official “bowl licker.” Trust me, I’ve been there.
This simple cake never fails and even though the frosting is to die for, the cake would be super delicious on its own. I’ve made this cake for my cousin’s birthday almost every year since I’ve been able to bake as he absolutely loves it, and so does everyone else.
I have tried to be clever by making a double batch, in hopes of having some leftovers to bring home for myself, with no success. Every time I bring this cake, it is devoured to the last crumb so fast, you wouldn’t believe it. Honestly, it’s probably better that way. Otherwise I would just keep going for one more piece until it would all be in my belly.
