My kids are extremely picky when it comes to eating vegetables. In fact they are so picky, the really won’t eat any of them. Once in a while I can get them to choke down a carrot, if I cover it in ranch dressing, but that’s about it. When I found this recipe for stir-fried cabbage on Group Recipes, I was excited to try it out. I knew that me and my husband would love it. We love everything cabbage. I didn’t even consider that my kids would like it though, because, well, I think I mentioned that already.
This was actually really fun to make. It was cool to see how everything so nicely cooked up together, I almost felt like a chef in the kitchen. When I plated it to my husband he said, “ohhhh, fancy!”
The thing is, it was so easy to make, it’s really not that fancy at all. It just looks really nice. The flavor was also pretty fancy. I thought it was delicious. After a few “mmmm”s out of me and the hubby, the kids had to try it. I think it was because it was so colorful.
And guess what? They liked it too! Now I know just how to get vegetables to them from this point on!
