Uncle Bert loves fish so much that he rarely eats chicken, pork, or beef. I don’t really have a problem with it, but there are very few fish recipes that cater to me unless you’re talking about salmon because salmon is my ultimate favorite fish. However, Uncle Bert always tries to convince us how versatile fish is every time he comes to the reunion. In fact, he always brings a fish recipe just to prove his point.
I have to admit that the last fish recipe he brought managed to convince most of us. They were simple fish cakes. Seriously. I have eaten fish cakes before.
And while I love them, I knew I can survive without eating them. Uncle Bert’s fishcakes were very different though. And he wouldn’t tell us his secret.
He just sat there looking a bit smug as he saw us enjoying the fishcakes he brought. For some reason, his simplest recipe was the one that managed to convince us that fish can truly be eaten in different ways that would surely satisfy the family. I kept searching for a similar fish recipe until I finally found this one over at Mr. Food. This fish cake recipe is simply amazing and you just have to try it out!
