My brother had called us recently and decided he was going to make a quick weekend trip home from where he was staying overseas in the military. When I asked him what he wanted to do, he said, “I don’t care what we do, as long as there is good food and lots of family and friends around.” Thankfully, I had just bought a new house and we had the room to host a party, otherwise I wasn’t quite sure where we were going.
After I knew I had the location covered, I started calling around to all of our closest family and friends inviting them to join us for a quick dinner with my brother. Of course, everyone was super excited to come.
Now, onto the food. I needed quick dishes that were easy to make and fed a lot of people. I found this recipe for chicken bacon macaroni and cheese on Recipe Lion and knew it would be the ideal main entree. I made a pan of this and a few other dishes before his big arrival.
He thanked me before he boarded his plane for putting his dream visit together. You’re welcome bro…see you soon!
