Making a good, delicious dessert for a party is always high up on my to-do list and this one fits the bill. For those of you who love chocolate, drool over this: a layer of brownie, a layer of chocolate chip cookie and then a layer of all your favorite candy bars. Say, a mix of Twix, Kit Kat and M&M’s. Or, maybe you are more of a Snicker’s, Milky Way and M&M’s kind of person.
Whatever you prefer, you can do to this cake. If you are feeling really adventurous, try and add a layer of actual cake batter to this. It might be fun and make it extra delicious! Check out what our friends over at Dan 330 had to say about this:
“The best part of this pie – tied with how chewy the cookie is – is how the candy bars melt and meld with the cookie. They’re everywhere, and they’re melty and gooey.”
Oh goodness, yes. This sounds so unbelievably delicious, I am going to make another one right now!
Ingredients
1 – 9-inch unbaked Pillsbury pie shell
1½ c. Gold Medal all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1½ c. Domino packed brown sugar
¾ c. unsalted Land O’ Lakes butter, melted and cooled
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
12 snack-sized candy bars, chopped (I used Snickers, Milky Way, Twix)
⅓ c. M&Ms
⅓ c. semi-sweet Hershey’s chocolate chips
Instructions
Adjust pie crust in a deep dish pie plate.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the candy bars, M&Ms, and chocolate chips.
Spread into the pie crust.
Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes, or until edges are golden brown, the top is shiny, and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut and serve.
