My daughter was finishing up her part in acting in the school play. At the final curtain call, the cast had decided that they wanted to do a final dinner with all the participants and their families. It was just a way that they could show their support for one another, and for the parents that did so much to help make sure it was a success. The dinner of course was going to be a potluck, and I considered taking my normal sweet and sour meatballs. I was getting the ingredients together and thought, “I always make these…I want to try something different.”
I started looking around online for different versions of meatballs and I fell upon this one from Jaime Cooks It Up. They looked filling and tasty, and there were only four ingredients?! Okay! I made these at home in the original sized batch to make sure they were good…they were divine!
Then, when it came time for the party, I tripled the recipe. I cooked them as instructed and then tossed them in the crock pot and headed out they door. They were a huge hit among the crowd. I got to walk out with an empty dish and that’s always a satisfying feeling.
