That headline is exactly what my sister said recently, when she came to visit me after her trip to one of the most trendy cities in Europe. (Or in the world, if you ask her.)
Apparently Milan had stolen her heart, and when I asked her what she loved about it the most, she didn’t inhale for the next ten minutes… She said she couldn’t put her finger on it exactly, but it must have been the combination of people, atmosphere, architecture and food. By the time she got to the food part she was almost out of breath, and I couldn’t help but laugh – it was a little funny to see her so excited about something!
I do understand what she meant and I know how she feels. I’ve lost my heart once or twice, too, during my travels, and it always seems to have something to do with food and rustic restaurants. My sister said this risotto was to die for, so of course I had to give it a try.
You don’t need too many ingredients to make an incredible meal, and I think this recipe proves it! What you do need is to make sure you’re using Arborio rice instead of regular one. Trust me, you’ll notice the difference!
