Snickerdoodles are my oldest favorite cookie.
By that I mean, before I had tried any cookie, my parents fed me a Snickerdoodle. And apparently, it was a hit. So often, my parents tried to feed me different types of cookies. They tried chocolate chip, but I apparently, I did not like it. Then they gave sugar cookies a run because they figured they were close to Snickerdoodle, but nothing. They tried endless amounts of cookies, only to discover that the only ones I liked were Snickerdoodle.
Well, fast forward a few years, and although not my favorite anymore (I have a real thing for oatmeal cookies, now!), I still enjoy them so much. And, I judge snickerdoodle cookies. They have to be the perfect ratio of cinnamon to sugar to be good, chewy on the inside, but a little crisp on the edges. There are so many ways to make these, but only one is the right way, so I have tried endless times not only to make them, but to find a place that makes them just how I like them. Has it been hard? Yeah. But totally worth it. These cookies are delicious and will always hold a special place in my heart.
