I Make This Pie Year Round And It’s ALWAYS A Huge Success
Sweet potato pie is a staple Thanksgiving dinner dessert for many families across the nation. I love making this yummy pie for all of the holidays in the fall and winter because it is so easy to make and very good!
My mother used to make the best sweet potato this side of the Mississippi but now that we don’t live in the same state as them it is up to me to carry on the tradition. Lucky for me, my neighbor has an abundance of sweet potatoes.
I love to eat my sweet potato pie with whipped cream but some people think this is gross. I love it! To me, it’s just like eating pumpkin pie. Talk about a serious yum fest.

Quick Tip: Did you know that this pie tastes almost identical to pumpkin?
Mix up the custard and have it ready top bake. Measure out enough for a pie and put it into suitable containers uncooked. When you want to make a pie it’s just a matter of thawing out the custard and making a pie shell. I do this all the time for various custards.
