Valentine’s Day was coming around again and my husband loves his sweets.
Usually, I just buy some candy from the store and call it a day. This time, I had some extra time and wanted to show some effort in what I was doing for him. That’s when I came across this recipe. It was perfect. I had strawberries in the fridge already because those are our favorite.
I decided to give this dessert a try with the little time I had left before he came home from work. When dinner was over, I brought it out and shocked not only him, but the whole family…”Mom made dessert!” It’s true, we aren’t big on dessert at our house.
Mainly because I’m not big into baking. This was so simple though with the store bought cake as a base. It left me with little room to make an error and it came out perfectly.
Everyone had a great big piece and the rest went in the fridge for later. None of this went to waste that’s for sure! I continue making this whenever someone asks me to bring a dessert now. It’s always a crowd favorite.
