The weekends are the only time I have to really sit back and relax. Sundays in particular are my slow days. Even Saturdays can get hectic with my kid’s sports games and practices, but at least I don’t have to work on those days. When I do have a Sunday with nothing on the calendar, I don’t really want to spend hours in the kitchen. I do want to have a nice homemade dish to feed my family though. When I found these slow cooker dumplings and chicken on Group Recipes, I couldn’t wait to give them a try.
On my weekly shopping trip, I picked up all the necessary ingredients, and stored them until Sunday came. After breakfast was cleaned up, I tossed this together in my slow cooker and set the timer.
At dinner time, this was ready to go and it tasted amazing. My whole family loved it! They were a little confused at how quickly I had made it though. I guess they didn’t see the crock pot on the counter all afternoon!
