My family is full-pledged carnivores and occasional omnivores.
We eat vegetables regularly, but we can survive without them. Meat, on the other hand, is a necessity whether it’s chicken, beef, or pork. It is a staple food on our table along with any type of dessert. As long as the meat is served for lunch or dinner, there will be no complaints among us.
The family’s favorite meat is pork. It’s so common on our table that Mom had to think of a variety of ways on how to prepare it. One of my favorites is the limed pork chop. The pork chops will be marinated in lime juice overnight and grilled the next day.
The tangy taste of the lime balances the fat content of the pork, making it just right to the taste. My most favorite, however, is only made occasionally as it’s too fancy for an everyday meal—the herbed pork with garlic butter sauce. But who cares about fancy when it’s so heavenly?
