When I was a kid, we had to walk about a half a mile from the bus stop home every day. Now, that might not seem like much, but that was the case whether it was snowing, hailing, raining, or scorching hot out. It didn’t matter the weather, we were walking it. The cold winter days were always the worst for me. I couldn’t stand getting hit in the face with that white stuff. Still to this day, I’m not much of a snow person. That might be why I moved to Florida.
Anyways, back to my story…whenever I would walk into the house to the smell of a mouthwatering pot roast, I would forget all about that terrible walk home.
Not only did I know that we were going to have an amazing meal, my mom was always happier knowing that dinner was almost done and she wasn’t just starting.
Just like this recipe from All Recipes, I do the same thing now that I am the mom. My kids always get so excited when they start to smell the mixture of amazing herbs and spices. I’m just happy I get to pass this along to them.
