There’s nothing better when you are starving than a nice Italian pasta dish. It’s so filling and tasty, you always walk away from the table feeling better. I like to make them for my family, when I get a chance. It isn’t often that I have hours to spend in the kitchen preparing a nice homemade meal. When I found this recipe on Serious Eats that said it was a time-saver, I put it at the top of my list to give it a try.
It really went together quite fast and the end result was amazing. My son, who would rather eat peanut butter and jelly for every meal, even gave it a try. “That looks good mom!” After tasting a nibble, he wanted a whole bowl!
That was a nice reward for cooking. We enjoyed a good and wholesome family conversation around the table that night. Now I get requests for this all the time.
Not only from my little guy, but from my husband and teenage daughter as well. Paired with a warm garlic bread stick and fresh salad, it makes it feel like we are eating out without having to deal with the crowds or the expensive bill that comes at the end!
