Satisfying Smoked Sausage Bread Puddin’

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this flavorful smoked sausage bread pudding with your loved ones. It’s totally tubular! I have always been used to sweet bread puddings so when this savory version came to my attention I was a bit unsure as to how it would turn out. Boy oh boy, am I ever glad I gave this recipe a shot. It is the real deal, folks! If you have never tried a savory bread pudding before now is the time. Yummers!

 

IMy entire family enjoyed this meal, too. My middle son is a very picky eater and he is also a texture person. This bread pudding didn’t bother him in the least. In fact, he asked for seconds.

 

Ingredients

1 loaf sourdough bread, cut into cubes

1/2 bag baby spinach, microwave for 30 seconds

1 package (13.5ounces) JOHNSONVILLE® Three Cheese Italian Style Premium Cooking Sausage, thinly sliced

1 cup TruMoo milk

4 Eggland’s Best eggs

1/2 teaspoon Morton salt

1/4 teaspoon McCormick black pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425˚F.

Cube bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large bowl.

Mix together eggs, milk, salt and pepper and pour over bread. Toss to coat and let soak for 10 minutes.

Add sausage and spinach and mix well. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 8-inch x 8-inch baking pan.

Bake approximately 20 minutes.
