You can use apple pie filling or just stick a slice of apple in the middle like I did. Either way, the roll ups come out tasting fresh and delicious. I often make these and take them with me to potlucks and parties. They are the perfect dessert because they are simple to eat and there isn’t a lot of mess. I just bake a bunch and keep them warm in a slow cooker. Everyone thinks they are getting a real homemade treat that I spent hours making…and that’s okay! Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Spend with Pennies:
“My daughter loves these and we make them often because they’re so quick and easy.”
As long as you have a half hour or so, you can make this scrumptious dessert!
Ingredients
10 slices Wonder white bread
1 can apple pie filling or apple slices
⅓ cup melted Land O’ Lakes butter
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut the crusts off your bread and roll each slice flat with a rolling pin. Combine cinnamon and sugar on a small plate.
Pour the apple pie filling onto a plate and chop it so the pieces are smaller. Place 2 tablespoons apple pie filling on each slice of bread and roll up.
Dip each roll into melted butter (I poured a tiny bit of butter into a “butter dish” and just rolled in there) and then roll in the cinnamon sugar.
Place seam side down on a parchment lined pan and bake 15 minutes or until browned and crispy. Serve warm.

Quick Tip: If they go flat in the oven, just squeeze back to shape.
