This actually makes enough for two taco pizzas, so it works out nicely for my family of four. My husband and son can eat a whole pie themselves, and they like the same toppings so that’s perfect. Then, I make a separate one for my daughter and I. We love all the same foods too…and it just so happens the boys don’t. So, if there are any leftovers of ours, we are the only two that will eat them! Works for me.
We can’t get enough of this at my house either…so long traditional tacos!
Ingredients
1 pkg Pillsbury pizza crusts (2)
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg Old El Paso taco seasoning
1 can(s) refried beans (large can)
shredded lettuce
taco cheese
crushed tortilla chips
chopped tomato
Taco Bell taco sauce
Instructions
Brown ground beef in a skillet, crumbling well. Drain. Add taco seasoning. Set aside.
Preheat oven as directed by the package directions on your pizza crust package. Assemble pizza crusts on 2 cookie sheets or pizza pans.
Spread half refried beans evenly on the bottom of first pizza, and the rest on the second half.. you may have a bit left over (don’t want it TOO thick)
Half the ground taco meat between the two pizzas, spreading evenly over the pizza.
Bake in your preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and slice with pizza cutter. (easier to slice at this step)
Top generously with shredded lettuce, taco cheese, chopped tomato, crushed tortilla chips and taco sauce. YUM! Makes 2 pizzas.
