When I first came across Yucatan shrimp I had no idea what it was.
I mean, the name sounded pretty silly if you ask me, but since nobody asked me I guess I should just keep that fact to myself, lol! Anyway, I’m all about trying new foods and I do like to eat shrimp so I thought I’d give this savory recipe a shot. Boy oh boy, was I EVER glad that I did! Talk about a flavor explosion.
The shrimp is cooked in garlic and butter and a few other savory seasonings that simply leave your mouth wanting more. The smell of this food cooking alone was enough to make me salivate.
The only downside to making this dish is that my son has a shellfish allergy so we had to cook up this masterpiece while he was away visiting Grandma. such is life 🙂
