I am a big fan of macaroni and cheese. I love it prepared in a variety of different ways. I think my favorite method is baking it.
However, the inside must be creamy and not dry. Some baked mac and cheeses are very dry in the center and I don’t go for all of that tomfoolery. This recipe for Potluck Sunday naked mac and cheese is anything but dry. it’s creamy, dreamy, and incredibly good. This is one of those recipes that you would find at a country church potluck supper. It’s the perfect way to feed a hungry crowd of people!
According to my friends, this macaroni has an addition of eggs which makes the cheese and pasta light yet flavorful. The results are almost souffle-like in texture. This is an excellent main dish or a great side dish.
This recipe is rich in flavor and adding a dry topping of something like corn flakes would insult the final product. I have made this with both sharp cheddar and Monterey jack cheese with excellent results!
