Pineapple And Strawberry In A Cake? It Will Blow You Away!

We are fond of doing kitchen experiments that we are not sure of the outcome. For instance, I tried making a “cappuccino cup” once using just bread and cream. I was craving for a creamy dessert, but I only had bread on the table and chocolates and heavy cream on the fridge. I already knew it wouldn’t work, but I was determined to make it work. I brushed the pieces of bread with egg wash and molded them into cup shapes using the muffin tins.

I placed them in the oven for a few minutes so they will be hard and crunchy. Then I mixed the cream, brewed coffee, and sugar in a bowl and whisked them together until the mixture was fluffy. I poured the mixture over the now hardened breads and placed them on the freezer. When they came out, the bread cups were hard as rocks, but the mixture didn’t harden.

They looked like cream soup but cold. I ended up drinking the cream from the bread cups. It was a waste of food and effort.

This recipe though is probably once an experiment but an experiment gone right. Because who would think of combining pineapple and strawberry together in the first place?

They’re both my favorite fruits, but even in my head, I couldn’t imagine a dessert with both of these fruits as main ingredients. However, this recipe from Our Table For Seven proved me wrong. You have to taste it to believe it!
