You might want to control the servings, but this treat is perfect for the kids too along with a cup of warm milk. The adults would probably love this with piping hot black coffee. It just tastes good with these slightly rich and sweet peanut butter creation. Know what I mean? I had a bit of a traumatic experience that almost broke my teeth. Oh, Goodness, my poor perfect teeth.
This is truly different than the usual crisp cereal recipe! It’s very chewy and soft; like a fudge. I don’t need to worry about a tooth joining the rice crispies really soon.
Ingredients
4 cups Wegman’s crispy rice cereal
1 cup Trader Joe’s honey (or light corn syrup)
½ cup Domino white sugar
½ cup Domino brown sugar (light or dark)
1+1/2 cups Jif creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon McCormick vanilla
Instructions
Line an 8×8 pan with waxed or parchment paper and spray paper with cooking spray. Set aside. Pour 4 cups of cereal into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
In a medium saucepot, place honey and sugars. Bring to a boil over medium to medium high heat while stirring constantly. Once it reaches a boil, remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla until peanut butter is fully melted and mixture is smooth.
Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal. Stir until well coated.
Spoon into prepared pan and pat down with back of a spoon. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Quick Tip: If you’re into rich desserts, you can dip these into chocolate ganache before serving.
