Halibut reminds me of those dinners in fancy restaurants that makes me pretend I am not a heavy eater and just settle on the smallest and healthiest food on the menu. It’s the reason why I don’t like fancy dining actually. I don’t like dressing up because I won’t get to eat dinner heartily if I’m fancily dressed from head to toe. I mean can you imagine me wearing a cocktail dress and eating like a woman starved for days?
Well, maybe not really eat like someone who hasn’t eaten for days, but you get my drift. My boyfriend knows me too well, which is why he doesn’t really require me to go to fancy dinners with him (his job sucks as much as it doesn’t. Haha). He knows I will just wear the dagger eyes and kill everyone with my glares if I am forced to attend those kinds of functions.
I love it when the food you like at restaurants can be made into your kitchen without sacrificing the restaurant taste that makes you come into that restaurant in the first place. This recipe that I discovered from She Wears Many Hats reminds me of that one halbut dinner I’ve eaten ages ago. It tastes so much better though because it’s homemade!
