I like to take this dish when we are invited to summer barbecues and church gatherings too. It’s something different besides cake, cookies, and cupcakes. There is hardly ever any leftovers. As soon as people see these cookies sticking out of the top of the bowl, everyone wants to try a bite. For really big gatherings, I make it in a 9 x 13 pan and double the recipe. Just make sure you give yourself enough time for it to cool properly in the fridge before heading out. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Julie’s Eats & Treats:

Ingredients
2 c. Buttermilk
2 (4.2 oz) boxes Jello Cookies ‘n Creme pudding mix
2 (8 oz) containers Cool Whip
1 (14.3) oz package Oreos, chopped, divided
Instructions
Whip together buttermilk, pudding mix and cool whip.
Add Oreos (reserve 1 c. for garnish) and stir until combined.
Sprinkle with reserved Oreos.
Store in refrigerator.
