Chicken and dumplings is a classic comfort food that never gets boring.
I love chicken and dumplings. Especially, when it is cooked in the crockpot. Just imagine the meat and tender dumplings simmering away all day long in the slow cooker. When it is time to eat you are left with a bubbling pot of the world’s best ever chicken and dumplings. My cousin taught me a trick a long time ago about chicken and dumplings. She would place a pat of butter on top of hers as a garnish.
My word was that pat of butter ever good as it melted on the hot food. Yum! This is a little trick that I still do to this day.
