My Grandpa always made the best BBQ chicken on the grill. Well he made the chicken, Grandma made the BBQ sauce. It was always so moist and delicious, we usually were fighting over the last few pieces.
Every summer we would go over there at least once a month and he would whip us up some of his famous chicken legs and thighs. Grandma would be in the kitchen cooking the baked beans and potato salad.
Then, we would take everything outside and sit at the picnic table and enjoy the beautiful weather. One cold winter day, I had a sudden taste for such chicken. Too bad our grill was buried in the snow.
I decided to try and do the same thing in the oven, with reservations that it probably wasn’t going to work. When it came out, it looked much like the chicken I found on The Pioneer Woman.
It was just as good, without the taste of the charcoal grill of course. This is a recipe that I can use all winter long now and my family just loves it!
