When my mom used to make goulash, I am not going to lie, I would be so disappointed. I always thought that it was going to taste like a big ol’ tomato…and I really didn’t like tomatoes. For years I would have her make me my own separate bowl of just plain noodles with butter on it. Everyone else at the table gobbled up their goulash and went back for more. I just didn’t understand the appeal.
That was, until I was a teenager…”Just try it!” everyone was egging me on. So finally, I did. It was fantastic!
