The Only Recipe You’ll Ever Need For Biscuits And Gravy!

I’m very keen on trying all kinds of new and modern recipes, but there is one that I refuse to alter. Biscuits and gravy, the way my mother made them.

There is nothing more comforting in this whole world than a couple of steaming hot biscuits, covered in sausage gravy, preferably enjoyed in your home kitchen on a Sunday morning. But that’s what’s great about this recipe; it doesn’t have to be Sunday, and you can make them anywhere – especially if you’re feeling a little homesick.

When I was studying abroad for a few months, my mother made sure I had the recipe with me. I was so excited to go, I didn’t think I’d be making sausage and gravy while I was there! But we all know that mothers are always right. At one point I got so homesick, I was ready to take the next flight back home. I call my Mom and she asked if I had made the recipe yet.

I made it that night, and the next morning everything was all better again. Never underestimate the power of sausage and gravy, haha!
