Belle’s homemade cherry cake is something I will never say no to.
I am not a fan of cherry flavored candies, but I love fresh cherries most especially when they are part of a really good dessert. Belle is my good friend who loves to bake fruitcakes. All of her cakes are mostly made of fruits because she loves them and wants them with everything. Whenever Belle and I are part of a potluck, she always brings her blueberry pound cake and I often find myself indulging in it.
Last time though, after church, our church mates invited us to a potluck. I bought pasta because it was a bit last-minute and pasta was the only thing I can think of that will be easy to make. There were about three other pasta recipes in there which made me feel guilty, but hey, my pasta pan was empty by the end of the occasion.
Belle bought a homemade cherry cake for that. And everyone really fell in love with it that I felt like it was the reason everyone was truly happy by the end of the day. A copy of Belle’s cherry cake can be found on the next page. I hope you enjoy it!

Quick tip: You can use fresh cherries, but you need to stone them. If you use frozen ones, then you have to defrost them before and drain some of the juice.
This looks so good. I would like to try it, but what size of pan do you bake the cake in, The picture looks like a round pan, so what size?
