My very best friend from high school had sent me an invitation to her baby shower. I was excited…and a little shocked considering I hadn’t talked to her in nearly five years. We both graduated, gathered our diplomas, and headed off in different directions in the world. There were a few text messages here and there, but for the most part, we really didn’t speak after that final graduation party. We both got busy, I get that. So, I was sure to clear my calendar for this special event. Her mom was hosting it at her house.
This wasn’t really surprising considering that just about every social gathering we had for school was held at that residence. It was a huge house! Anyways, the meal looked incredible, which also wasn’t surprising, her mom was an amazing cook.
When I went through the line and saw these meatballs, I couldn’t wait to sit back down and try them. They looked just like the meatballs I found on Spend with Pennies. When I took a bite, heavenly.
I had to go back up and get a second helping before they were all gone! I was sure to steal that recipe from my long lost friend’s mom before I left.
