I love BBQs. I love the smells, the atmosphere, and the people I get to spend time with every single time we do it. Now, in regards to the food, that is definitely a slightly different story. I am not obsessed with BBQ food. Actually, I am not huge on meats, so it is not one of my favorites, but I will tell you why I actually do love BBQs. It is because of the macaroni salad. Yeah, I know, it is lame.
But it is true! I love it because on BBQ days, my mom will prepare four or five different macaroni salads. I mean, can it get any better than that? With all that macaroni salad, I think you can say I am a pro at them.
I know how to make all of the recipes by heart and also add my own little twist to some of them. It is just a great way to really switch it up every single time and keep everyone on their toes.
For me, it is fun and exciting to be in charge of making these because I get to try them all along the way. You know, I cook with a spoon right next to me. Haha

Quick Tip: Swap out the bacon for chicken or ham if you’d like.
Only five ingredients needed for a great pasta/macaroni salad! Cooked pasta, ( I like corkscrew, it hold the dressing best) mayo, cooked bacon chopped into good sized pieces, chopped tomatoes, shredded iceberg lettuce. S&P.. If you’re a halfway decent cook figure out the portions adding the bacon just before serving. Otherwise your picnic/Bbq guests will be spending the next day in the bathroom, thanks to soggy, cold bacon! BLT Pasta salad, your guests will thank you!
