My daughter surprised us about six months ago with an ultrasound picture. Yahoo! It was going to be our first grandchild. I was over the moon, and so was my husband. After the tears of joy stopped flowing and everyone settled down, I started thinking about a baby shower. We have a pretty small family so I figured we would keep it simple and just do it at my house. I decided that I would do a chicken dish with a few different side dishes.
I wanted of course a potato, but I didn’t want to do the same style that you see at every baby shower you go to. I found this recipe for cheesy, ranch, slow cooker potatoes on Julie’s Eats & Treats and I couldn’t believe it. The ingredients and prep were so simple, and I could make them in my crock pot! That was perfect.
I tossed these together and went about organizing the rest of the day. The party turned out fantastically and everyone complimented the flavor of the yummy potatoes. Now, we just have to sit back and wait for that little new life to make her appearance!
