Kimmie is a friend who “specializes” in stews. It’s kind of weird and not really weird at the same time when I think about how each of my friends actually have a specialty that everyone expects him or her to bring at every get-together. My best friend is always expected to bring cakes because she’s really good at that. Thomas is always expected to bring his brownies (we just have to remind him not to bring has brownies all the time). I am even expected to bring my pesto pasta because nothing can beat my pesto (self-proclaimed Pesto Queen here!). And Kimmie is always expected to bring one of her stews.
During last get-together, Kimmie brought creamy oyster stew. Usually, she brings some kind of meat stew because it’s what everyone loves, but last time was different. She said she wanted to try something new so she decided on seafood. She even brought fresh bread to go with it. I am telling you it tasted so wonderful I wanted to drink from the serving bowl. If you want the same creamy recipe that became a start that night, I found just the right one. I will share it with you on the next page!

Quick Tip: Don’t allow the milk to come to a simmer, and do not overcook the oysters.
