My house is without a doubt one of the most popular gathering places for my son and all his buddies…especially after school. I usually have a cupboard full of snacks for him to have when he gets home from a day of books and learning. The problem is, when he opens that cupboard, it looks like a frenzy of wild coyotes going after their latest prey. Now, I don’t mind sharing, but after a while, it can get expensive to feed that many boys! That’s why I had to come up with something different.
When I found this recipe for cinnamon bread on Little B Cooks, I had to try it out on them. It was going to be cheap and easy to make, and one of their favorite things are snack cakes, so… kind of the same right? The true test came that afternoon when they all came filing in from the bus.
When my boy went for the cupboard I said, “Eat that bread!” They all took a slice and there was pure silence for a minute from the kitchen. Then they all said, “Thanks! That was really good!” and grabbed a slice to go and headed down to the basketball courts. Victory for me!

Quick Tip: Try with a slab of melted butter.
What are “cinnamon chips”?
They are like the chocolate chips used for baking…same size, just made out of cinnamon. I bought them at Winn Dixie.
